In a forthcoming research study conducted by Neufeld Legal P.C.,
it was identified that approximately fifty-four percent (54%) of current
National Hockey League (NHL) All-Stars are seeing a portion of their
legitimate commercial rights and revenues being siphoned away by the
improper and illegal actions of unaffiliated third-parties, who are
profitting at the players' expense. Whereas correcting such impropriety
is possible (with limited time and cost), it remains largely
unrecognized and/or there is a failure to act. In turn, many NHL hockey
players are losing out on commercial revenue that is rightfully their
own. For professional hockey players seeking to inquire about their situation, contact us (this study shall not be publicly available). |

CONTRACT LAWYER FOR HOCKEY PLAYERS Providing experienced legal counsel as to the review, negotiation, drafting and re-drafting of commercial contracts for professional hockey players in their off-ice business ventures. There is substantially more to contract law than the Standard Player Contract, which is in essence the accepted standard for contractual arrangements around which all NHL player salary negotiations are constructed, such that the work is about negotiating the financial figures as opposed to the contractual language (from which there is minimal deviation available). And given that such salary negotiations are the purview of NHL player agent or the NHL player himself, our focus remains centered on business contracts that do not deal with your National Hockey League team (and in turn the National Hockey League and the NHL Players' Association). Instead, our focus is on all those other business contracts that you may enter into, dealing with everything from commercial endorsements to public appearances and autograph signing to business partnership and related ventures. In these instances there is no standardized contract, but instead contractual arrangements are wholly dictated by the parties to the arrangement, such that what you agree to is what you will realize upon. And given the variances associated in such contractual arrangements, the importance of an experienced contract lawyer is that much more important (as you do not have the benefit of the NHL Players' Association and all the preceeding legal work that has been undertaken on behalf of NHL players and resulting in the Standard Player Contract). At Neufeld Legal P.C., we understand the importance associated with reviewing, negotiating, drafting and re-drafting business contract, and have such experience with a wide variety of business and scenarios. For more information on how we can be of assistance to your contractual matters, contact lawyer Christopher Neufeld at Christopher@HockeyLawyer.ca or 416-887-9702 (Toronto, Ontario) / 403-400-4092 (Calgary, Alberta). |
