In a forthcoming research study conducted by Neufeld Legal P.C.,
it was identified that approximately fifty-four percent (54%) of current
National Hockey League (NHL) All-Stars are seeing a portion of their
legitimate commercial rights and revenues being siphoned away by the
improper and illegal actions of unaffiliated third-parties, who are
profitting at the players' expense. Whereas correcting such impropriety
is possible (with limited time and cost), it remains largely
unrecognized and/or there is a failure to act. In turn, many NHL hockey
players are losing out on commercial revenue that is rightfully their
own. For professional hockey players seeking to inquire about their situation, contact us (this study shall not be publicly available). |

HOCKEY PLAYER NAME PROTECTION: LEGAL / COMMERCIAL Your name is extremely important and it needs to be protected. I cannot overstate the value of your name and protecting it from a legal / commercial perspective. When it comes to generating secondary revenue off the ice, protecting your name is absolutely critical. Having worked on hockey player name protection, I can tell you that far too many NHL players do not realize this fact and have allowed others to abscond with their name for their own financial interests. This is a serious mistake, because not only does it allow someone else to make money off of your hard work and professional success, it deprives you of the financial income that you should otherwise be entitled to. Given the fact that you've made your name what it is, should you not be controlling who profits from it (namely yourself). Through my legal work on hockey player name protection, I have become privy to the varying legal perceptions that are taken and how these matters are appropriately handled. Especially in today's day and age, such matters cannot be taken lightly, nor should they be undertaken without adequate legal counsel. And truthfully, we might understand better than most NHL hockey players and their representatives, the value of their name, otherwise they would have been taking better care of it. For more information on how we can be of assistance with the protection of your name and the enforcement of your legal + commercial rights therein, contact hockey lawyer Christopher Neufeld at Christopher@HockeyLawyer.ca or 416-887-9702 (Toronto, Ontario) / 403-400-4092 (Calgary, Alberta). |
